Following are excerpts of activities reported by the Greene County sheriff’s office:
Wednesday, Aug. 31: At 8:03 am a deputy investigated an attempted burglary in the 900 block of Main St in Scranton.
Tuesday, Aug. 30: At 9:14 am a deputy investigated a theft in the 500 block of 14th St in Grand Junction. At 10:50 am a deputy investigated a school bus violation near 3rd and Main St in Rippey. At 5:01 pm a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD with the arrest of Eric Rosenow, 38, of Farlin on a warrant for failure to appear out of Hamilton County. At 6:53 pm a deputy assisted a jailer with an unruly inmate. At 8:22 pm a deputy assisted with a cow out on 222nd St near R Ave in Grant Township.
Monday, Aug. 29: At 8:49 am a deputy investigated a theft in the 700 block of 9th St in Grand Junction. At 9:43 am a deputy assisted with a cow out on the railroad tracks near 222nd Street and Parkland Ave in Grant Township. At 3:42 pm a deputy arrested Mark Morrow, 61, of Grand Junction on warrants for possession of a controlled substance- third or subsequent offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of prescription medication*. At 4:05 pm a deputy arrested Anthony Nunez Jr, 31, of Carroll for interference with official acts and assault*. At 8:32 pm a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD with responding to a two-vehicle accident on Highway 30 and Mulberry St.
Sunday, Aug. 28: At 8:29 am a deputy investigated a fight in the 500 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. Alex Treft, 31, of Grand Junction was arrested for assault causing bodily injury*. Elaine Norgart, 54, of Grand Junction was arrested for assault causing injury, trespass, and possession of drug paraphernalia*. At 4:59 pm a deputy assisted with horses out on J Avenue near 270th St in Greenbrier Township.
Saturday, Aug. 27: At 11:13 am the sheriff and a deputy assisted the Iowa State Patrol with a pursuit on 285th St near Rippey. Ian Patterson, 42, of Des Moines was arrested on Deer Avenue near 310th St in Boone County for driving while license barred, possession of a controlled substance- third or subsequent offense, and eluding causing injury while under the influence of alcohol/drugs or participating in a felony*. He was also cited for failure to obey a stop sign and failure to wear a seatbelt. At 5:41 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of burning in the 900 block of High St in Scranton. At 8:19 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of fireworks at Livingston St and 140th St in Churdan. At 11:07 pm a deputy investigated a single vehicle accident on 305th St near R Ave in Franklin Township. A 17-year-old driver lost control of a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee on water on the roadway and entered the ditch, causing an estimated $8,000 damage to the vehicle.
Friday, Aug. 26: At 8:27 am a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 800 block of Hills Ave in Churdan. At 10:23 am a deputy investigated a complaint of criminal mischief in the 700 block of North St Churdan. At 8:24 pm a deputy removed a dead deer from the roadway on 237th St near Jordan Ave in Jackson Township.
Thursday, Aug. 25: At 8:01 am a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD in responding to a two-vehicle accident on S. Olive and E. Harrison Sts.
Wednesday, Aug. 24: At 10:24 am a deputy assisted with a child who missed the bus and was lost on Madison and Grant St in Scranton. At 1:34 pm the sheriff arrested Kaleb Lentz, 28, of Scranton in the 300 block of N. 5th St in Grand Junction for sex abuse- third degree*. At 2:14 pm a deputy investigated a burglary in the 1600 block of N. Elm St in Jefferson. At 6:55 pm a deputy investigated a burglary in the 900 block of Main St in Scranton. At 10:27 pm a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD with a domestic assault at the intersection of Elm and W. Washington St in Jefferson.
Tuesday, Aug. 23: At 7:36 am a deputy removed a deer from the roadway on D Ave near 195th St in Kendrick Township. At 9:22 am the sheriff and deputies assisted the Jefferson PD in executing a search warrant at a residence in the 600 block of W. Lincoln Way in Jefferson. At 12:50 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass in the 2300 block of M Ave in Greenbrier Township. At 8:31 pm a deputy investigated the violation of a no contact order in the 400 block of Harding St in Churdan.
Monday, Aug. 22: At 12:24 am a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD with the arrest of two subjects. At 1:59 pm the sheriff and a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD with an arrest. At 3:06 pm a deputy investigated a harassment complaint at the intersection of Monroe St and S. Wilson Ave in Jefferson.
Sunday, Aug. 21: At 9:14 am a deputy investigated a dog bite in the 800 block of Chicago St in Scranton. At 2:14 pm a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD with a domestic assault. At 2:48 pm a deputy and Grand Junction fire responded to an electrical fire in the 300 block of S. 8th St in Grand Junction. There was minor damage done to an outlet.
Saturday, Aug. 20: At 5:15 pm a deputy investigated a dog bite in the 100 block of S. Main St in Paton.
Friday, Aug. 19: At 7:20 pm a deputy investigated a no contact order violation in the 1900 block of 140th St in Dawson Township. At 7:42 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass in the 1100 block of Lincoln St in Scranton.
Thursday, Aug. 18: At 6:57 am a deputy investigated a missing person report in the 200 block of S. 7th St in Grand Junction. At 11:24 am a deputy investigated a complaint of theft in the 1000 block of Lincoln St in Scranton. At 12:50 pm a deputy attempted to locate a small pig running at large on Highway 4 near 160th St. At 1:36 pm a deputy assisted the Carroll County sheriff’s office with trying to locate a vehicle and driver suspected in a theft of lumber from a train.
Wednesday, Aug. 17: At 3 am a deputy located a missing stop sign on Highway 144 and County Rd E-26 at Dana. At 8:15 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass in the 900 block of 120th St in Highland Township.

Monday, Aug. 15: At 11:37 am a deputy responded to a power line down in the 700 block of Chicago St in Scranton.
Sunday, Aug. 14: At 12:57 pm a deputy transported a runaway back to Jefferson from Sioux City.
Saturday, Aug. 13: At 2:03 am a deputy investigated an assault in the 700 block of North St in Churdan. At 3:48 pm the sheriff assisted with cattle out on 230th St and Hillcrest Ave in Jackson Township. At 7:42 pm a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD with a complaint of harassment at Casey’s. At 8:27 pm a deputy located several kids playing on the railroad tracks under the overpass in Jefferson. At 10 pm a deputy assisted a jailer with a unruly inmate.
Friday, Aug. 12: 12:25 am a deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 300 block of Hendricks St in Rippey. At 6:53 am the sheriff and deputies assisted the Jefferson police department with a search warrant in the 200 block of N. Maple St in Jefferson. At 8:26 am a deputy investigated a complaint of a small pig on Highway 4 near 140th St.
Thursday, Aug. 11: At 3:08 am a deputy assisted with an assault at Greene County Medical Center. At 9:55 am a deputy investigated a report of small pigs on Highway 4 near 160th St.
Wednesday, Aug. 10: At 9:47 am the sheriff investigated a two-vehicle backing accident in the 200 block of W. Main St in Grand Junction. Jacqueline Ray, 49, of Grand Junction was traveling west on Main St driving a 2018 Ford Focus. Stephen Kennedy, 63, of Grand Junction was backing out of a parking spot in a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado. Ray struck the rear bumper of the truck, causing an estimated $7,500 damage to the Focus and an estimated $500 damage to the pickup truck. There were no injuries. At 10:20 am a deputy investigated a theft in the 1500 block of 225th St in Grant Township. At 2:54 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass in the 2400 block of 337th St in Washington Township. At 10:15 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 300 block of Hendricks Street, Rippey.
Tuesday, Aug. 9: At 2:05 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 200 block of N. Dana St in Dana.
Monday, Aug. 8: At 6:24 am a deputy investigated a littering complaint on 215th St and J Ave in Bristol Township. At 8:02 pm a deputy assisted the Boone County sheriff’s office with trying to locate a female subject in Rippey.

Saturday, Aug. 6: At 10:48 pm a deputy, Grand Junction fire, Greene County Ambulance, and Jefferson fire responded to a building fire in the 1900 block of 290th St in Washington Township. The building was a complete loss.
Friday, Aug. 5: At 12:09 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass in the 200 block of Cartwright St in Rippey. At 2:38 pm a deputy investigated a truck in the ditch on M Ave near Highway 30. Michael Downey, 38, of Carroll was arrested for operating while intoxicated and carrying weapons*. He was also cited for open container. At 3:37 pm a deputy investigated a theft in the 500 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction.
Thursday, Aug. 4: At 8:34 am a deputy assisted with cattle out on 252nd St near Highway 4 south of Jefferson. At 11:22 am a deputy investigated a complaint of child endangerment on Highway 30 near Highway 25 at Scranton. At 3:26 pm deputies assisted the Guthrie County sheriff’s office with a report of a male with gun in the 2700 block of 100th St. At 3:54 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 200 block of Cartwright St in Rippey. Steven Meister, 58, of Woodward was arrested for operating while intoxicated- third offense, operating without an interlock device, and harassment- third degree*. At 5:27 pm a deputy investigated an assault in the 1100 block of Lincoln St in Scranton. Darren Lehrkamp, 29, of Scranton was arrested for assault*. At 5:34 pm a deputy assisted a jailer with an unruly inmate.
Wednesday, Aug. 3: At 9:02 am the sheriff and deputies assisted the Jefferson police department with a search warrant in the 700 block of W. Sunset Rd in Jefferson. At 5:33 pm a deputy investigated a theft in the 700 block of Harding St in Churdan.
Tuesday, Aug. 2: At 10 am a deputy assisted the Boone police department with locating the owner of stolen property in the 1000 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. At 3:47 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 900 block of Eagle St in Scranton.
Monday, Aug. 1: At 9:03 am a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 1100 block of Lincoln St in Scranton. At 9:57 pm a deputy assisted with a cow out on J Avenue near 290th St in Greenbrier Township. At 10:41 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 400 block of S. 15th St in Grand Junction.
